Cordillera receives international award for the
design of its packaging
Published July 2019

We are proud! Our brand Cordillera was awarded in the packaging design category by the prestigious magazine GDUSA (Graphic Design USA), a reference in international design. The competition included more than 100 global brands from the demanding American food and beverage market such as: 7 Up, Doritos, Quaker, McDonald’s, among others.
This category highlights those brands that manage to transmit a powerful product history through their packaging, standing out the aesthetic and emotional connection with the buyer. This is how the design elements of the Cordillera packaging that represent the typical fauna and flora of Ecuador, Colombia and Peru, emblematic places of the origin of cocoa and to which the brand pays tribute to its essence, are highlighted.

1 “The Cordillera packing is a living expression of our positioning; They celebrate the magic of cocoa, our Latin roots and the support we guarantee as a brand. Achieving this expression of packaging was possible thanks to an interdisciplinary team that from Agricultural Development, R&D and the allies Dupuis/Qualitat to our botanical illustrator, allowed us to turn this project into a reality “Natalie Quintero – B2B Marketing Manager.

This recognition is a sign of our vision in the Chocolates Business to develop powerful and global brands, as well as to promote the B2B as a growth lever.

Congratulations to everyone who contributed to this achievement that demonstrate our commitment to innovation, sustainability and borderless thinking.

Additional notes in the article:

  • Cordillera was the only award-winning brand in the B2B chocolate category
  • Cordillera is our brand that represents B2B in countries such as: United States, Canada, Mexico, Peru and Colombia, among others.
